Aimée & Jaguar (1999), A Lesbian Love Larger Than Death

In the stream line of this unlikely love, we meet Felice, a playful and clever lesbian woman. She work at a Nazi propaganda newspaper with the name as Aryan. Always in danger of killing, but Felice still looking for her lesbian lover, someone she can love and love her, too. Felice meets Lilly, a delicate and beautiful mother, she sends her four children out for maid so that she can searching for her love.

Two women with two different life but have common feeling to each other, they soon fall in love after lesbian kiss between Felice and Lilly that makes their love wake up. Felice trust Lilly and tell her the truth about herself with other job, a spyer. then, they have more happy time together before the war broke out.

The war broke out, Felice choose to stand by Lilly. Time passing by, Felice’s real condition is revealed and she is chased. But nothing can prevent their love from together, their love still alive under bombs and Berlin government.

Aimée & Jaguar (1999) shows a honest emotion, true love, and endless love between two women in the world wide war who have to choose between their love and their life. And they never regret it. With exellent playing of Schrader and Köhler, they won Silver Silver Bears at the 1999 Berlin International Film Festival.

As a message that Lilly Wust ( real person ) want to send to Felice, her endless love when feel about Aimée & Jaguar (1999), she said, I have never stopped loving Felice. I gave my consent for the book and the film because I wanted to create a memorial to Felice.”
