Comedian Mae starts a new relationship with George. She has only ever dated men. They both decide to conceal important information from one another.

At a family wedding without Mae, George begins to see their relationship in a new light. Meanwhile, Mae stays busy to try to keep from unraveling.

As George continues to hide her relationship with Mae from her friends, it begins to affect their sex life. Maggie’s daughter asks Mae for advice.

Feel Good S01E04, Mae tries to make amends — but her mother refuses to discuss the past. George feels vulnerable about recent events.

The arrival of heartthrob Arnie Rivers, George’s teenage crush, at the comedy club knocks Mae’s confidence; Arnie tells Mae to be as honest as possible on stage, catapulting her career but collapsing her relationship with George.

In Canada, Mae goes into recovery, where they run into an old companion, yet winds up leaving. Mae considers George and discloses to her they should say a final farewell to one another. George goes to an office party and has intercourse with one of her male partners.
